This is a 121 frame rotoscope describing an encounter. My first idea, visually, did not pan out so well. For this rotoscope I used tried using different custom brush strokes. Reactions in the video change the type of brush stokes to emulate motion or emotion with the 2 subjects.
Using and isometric grid, I created an isometric process of corn chip production. Creating the 3rd dimension adds interesting depth to the design, without having to worry about perspective. However, achieving this look in Illustrator is tedious, as it is a program generally used for 2D design. Using a grid of lines on a 30degree, 90degree, and 150degree angles, components can be drawn out on a grid
Been working on illustration of a friends face in my spare time. This has been the most extensive drawing I’ve done with a draw tablet, and still a work in progress. Using YouTube tutorials, I’ve been able to find simple techniques for shade, line editing, and overall facial quality replication.
Here are a few helpful tutorials:

Interview I watched awhile back: http://www.documentary.org/content/copyright-or-copywrong-rip-challenges-intellectual-property-rights
Copyright laws have been a sticky subject with the evolution of the internet. What I see is that intent is the main issue. With Brazil offering cheap knock off drugs, to remixing existing music, different uses for stealing works come into question.
Ethically, copying ones ideas and works varies per case. An example is Brazil, where patents laws have allowed for the country to copy existing medication and sell it for cheap. The Brazilian government pays roughly $750 a year to treat HIV patients, as opposed to the USA where both the patient and government pays around $20 000. Ethically, one could say large pharmaceutical corporations like Pfizer and GlaxoSmithKline are losing money that could be used to develop new more effective drugs. You could also say that taxpayers are saving money thus improving their lives, and governments could save money that could be directed into developing an actual cure.
